When I joined my Zoom meeting, I see someone else's name

This will happen if you are not logged into your own Microsoft Account. To make sure you are signed into your own account, follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign out of Microsoft by clicking this link. If you are sharing an computer with another user and need to switch accounts frequently, bookmark the sign out link to make it easy to switch accounts.
  2. Click the link to join the Zoom meeting. You will be prompted to select your Microsoft account.


You must be signed in with your Bridgeway Academy Microsoft account ending in @mybridgeway.net. When you click your meeting link, if you are not logged into Microsoft, you will be prompted to select your Microsoft account.


I am getting an error when joining a Live Online Class meeting.

If you click a link to join an online class and you are logged in with a Microsoft account other than your Bridgeway account ending in @mybridgeway.net, you will see the following error:


To resolve this, sign out of the non-Bridgeway Microsoft account and sign in using your Bridgeway Microsoft credentials ending with @mybridgeway.net.

  2. Click the link to join the Zoom meeting. You will be prompted to select your Microsoft account.


Sign out of Zoom and relaunch your online class.


If you continue to have an issue, try signing out of Zoom.

  1. Go to https://zoom.us/.
  2. Select My Account and then click on your profile picture to sign out of Zoom.
  3. After signing out of Zoom, go back to your online class and launch the class again.
