Adding a Profile Picture via the WebsiteLog in to Moodle: Open your Moodle site and log in with your credentials.Access User Menu: Click on your profile picture or name at the top right corner of the page to open the user menu.Select Preferences: In the user menu, click on "Preferences."Edit Profile: Under the Preferences section, click on "Edit profile."Upload Picture: Scroll down to the "User picture" section. Click on the "Choose a file" button.Select Image: In the File picker, select "Upload a file" and choose the image from your computer. Make sure the image is in JPG or PNG format 1.Save Changes: Click "Update profile" at the bottom of the page to save your changes. You can change the tutorial display by clicking the "Try It" on the bottom left of the tutorial screen.14 STEPS1. The first step is to open Moodle and click the User menu from any page. You'll find the User menu in the grey button and dropdown arrow with your initials. Remember, the picture needs to be of you or a symbol of you, but not anything questionable.2. Click Profile, the first option in the User menu dropdown.3. Click Edit profile in the User details box on the top left under your initials and name in the header bar.4. Scroll down to the User picture section of the page and click the paper icon in the New picture submission box. You can also drag and drop the file into the box below.5. Click Upload a file if it's not already on that page. The picture can be you or an object that represents you, but this is not the place for political statements or objects that are frightening or controversial.6. Click Choose File to open the file picker. The file picker will open in another window to show you available files on your device. As a reminder, no political, frightening, or controversial images.7. Once you chosen the file from your device, you'll see it under Attachment, beside the Choose File box. This says sally.jpg. To change the name of the file, click into the Save as box. You can save it as your name or initials.8. Type the name you want to use for the file into the Save as box. Use your name or initials to find it easier later in your Private files if you need it.9. Click Licence not specified or whatever the applicable license is for your picture from the Choose license dropdown. There probably isn't a license.10. Click Upload this file in the blue box at the bottom of the File picker window.11. Scroll up and click into the Picture description box. This can be very simple, but it's a kindness for people who have difficulty seeing and use screen readers. You and anyone else will also see it anytime you hover over the picture.12. Type your name or initials in the Picture description box. Again, it's to help others who may use screen readers.13. Click the Update profile blue box on the left at the bottom of the page.14. You should now see your picture in the circle next to your name.
