Watch the video below to learn to use Microsoft Edge to work on PDFs for assignments. You may also wish to use other tools.  Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge both allow you to work on PDFs right in your browser.  Below the video are additional instructions.

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader (Free)

  1. Download and Install: If you don't already have it, download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader from the official website.
  2. Open the PDF: Launch Adobe Acrobat Reader and open the PDF worksheet you want to fill out.
  3. Select Fill & Sign Tool: Click on the "Fill & Sign" tool in the right-hand pane.
  4. Add Text: Click on the area where you want to add text. A text box will appear. Type your answers into the text boxes.
  5. Add Checkmarks: If the worksheet requires checkmarks, click on the "Checkmark" icon in the toolbar and place it where needed.
  6. Save Your Work: Once you've filled out the worksheet, click "File" > "Save As" to save your completed worksheet.

Using a Web Browser (Google Chrome or Edge)

  1. Open the PDF: Open the PDF worksheet in Google Chrome by dragging the file into a new tab or right-clicking the file and selecting "Open with" > "Google Chrome ." or "Microsoft Edge"
  2. Fill Out the Form: Click on the fields to type your answers. Chrome and Edge both support basic form filling.
  3. Print to PDF: Once completed, click the print icon or press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac). In the print dialog, select "Save as PDF" as the destination and click "Save."
