Placement testing, known as the Skills Snapshot, helps assess your student’s current skills in Math and English Language Arts (ELA) and provides their advisor with valuable information to support appropriate course placement and personalized learning recommendations.

When a test is available, you and your student will see an alert on the Bridgeway Learning Center (BLC) dashboard. Your student can select the alert to begin the assessment.

Completing the Placement Test

Your student will complete the placement test directly in BLC. The assessment presents one question at a time and includes a progress indicator so your student can see how much of the assessment has been completed.

Placement assessments may be used at different points during the school year, including Beginning-of-Year (BOY) and End-of-Year (EOY) assessments. An additional assessment may also be made available as your student's enrollment approaches completion.

If your student is unable to finish the assessment in one sitting, the system allows them to re-enter and continue the test.

When your student complete's the test, the results screen is displayed.

Reviewing Your Student's Results

After your student completes the test, you can review their results in your parent BLC account. While parents do not take the assessment themselves, they can view their student's performance under Records tab when logged into the Bridgeway Learning Center as a parent.
