Joining Your Bridgeway Live Online Class in ZoomImportant: For security, Bridgeway students must join Live Online Classes using their Bridgeway Microsoft account ending in @mybridgeway.net. If several people use the same computer, make sure another family member’s Microsoft or Zoom account is not still signed in before joining a class.Before Your First Live ClassMake sure the Zoom Workplace app is installed on the computer or device you will use for class. If Zoom is not installed when you try to join, you will be prompted to download and install it.You will also need:Your Bridgeway username ending in @mybridgeway.netYour Bridgeway/Microsoft passwordA working microphone and speakers or headphonesA webcam if your class requires videoShared computer? This is especially important. Microsoft and Zoom may automatically use an account that is already signed in on the device. If a parent, sibling, or another student uses the same computer, sign them out before joining your class.Refer to this article for more details on installing the app.How to Join Your Live Online ClassThe first step depends on where your course is located.Moodle CoursesOpen your course and select Zoom Online Classroom.Bridgeway Learning Center (BLC) CoursesIf you are taking a Blended Live or Stepping Stones class in the Bridgeway Learning Center, open the Zoom tab in your course and select your Live Class meeting or click the Zoom word directly on the course card.1. Select Your ClassThe Zoom Online Classroom page will display your upcoming meetings.Find the class you want to attend and click Join.2. Allow Zoom to OpenYour browser may display a message asking you to launch Zoom.Select Launch Meeting, and then choose Open Zoom Meetings when your browser asks for permission.If you see an option such as Always allow zoom.us to open links of this type, you can select it so you don't have to approve this each time.If Zoom isn't installed yet, select Download and run Zoom and follow the installation instructions.Sign In With Your Bridgeway AccountYou may be asked to select a Microsoft account.Choose your student account ending in: @mybridgeway.netIf your Bridgeway account isn't shown, select Use another account and enter your Bridgeway email address and password.If you are the only person who uses the computer, you may choose Yes when Microsoft asks whether you want to stay signed in. On a shared computer, choosing No can help prevent account mix-ups later.Once you are signed in correctly, Zoom will open your classroom. If your teacher hasn't started the meeting yet, simply wait for the meeting to begin.Test Your Audio Before ClassThe first time you join—or anytime your microphone or speakers aren't working—test your audio.When Zoom displays the audio window, select:Test Speaker and MicrophoneMake sure:You can hear Zoom's test sound.Zoom can hear your microphone.The correct microphone is selected.The correct speakers or headphones are selected.Then choose Join with Computer Audio.Use your Test Computer Mic & Speakers screenshot here.Can't hear or be heard?Click the arrow next to the microphone icon in the lower-left corner of Zoom.From here, you can select a different microphone or speaker and choose Test Speaker & Microphone.If computer audio still doesn't work, Zoom may also give you the option to Switch to Phone Audio. Follow the phone number, Meeting ID, and Participant ID instructions provided by Zoom.Using Zoom During ClassThe controls at the bottom of the Zoom window allow you to manage your classroom experience.Mute / Unmute controls your microphone. Having Trouble Joining?Most Zoom login problems happen because the computer is signed in to the wrong Microsoft or Zoom account.I joined class with someone else's nameThis usually means another person's account is signed in on the computer.Sign out of the other Microsoft account, then return to your course and click Join again. When Microsoft asks you to choose an account, select your own @mybridgeway.net account.This is especially common on computers shared by siblings or family members.I see “Selected user account does not exist in tenant ‘Bridgeway Academy’”This error means Zoom is trying to authenticate using a Microsoft account that is not your Bridgeway student account.Do not continue using the account shown on the error screen.Instead:Sign out of the incorrect Microsoft account.Return to your Bridgeway course.Select Zoom Online Classroom and click Join again.When asked to choose an account, select your @mybridgeway.net account.If it isn't listed, choose Use another account and enter your Bridgeway credentials.Put your tenant-error screenshot here.
